We are excited to be joining schools across Leicestershire in a very special celebration, marking the 100th birthday of David Attenborough with a meaningful day of environmental action on Friday 8th May.

BBC Radio Leicester and local schools are joining together to mark this important milestone, bringing communities together in recognition of Sir David Attenborough’s incredible contribution to our understanding of the natural world.

This inspiring initiative, Our Planet, Our Pledge: Celebrating 100 Years of Attenborough, aims to bring together young people from across Leicestershire to reflect on the natural world and take positive steps to protect it. It is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to feel part of something bigger, uniting with others who share a commitment to caring for the planet.
